Stem Cell Therapy & Stem Cell Banking

Stem Cell Therapy & Stem Cell Banking

Preserve Your Future. Restore Your Present.

At Aluma Wellness, we believe regenerative medicine should address both your health today and your health tomorrow. That’s why we offer two advanced stem cell options:

Allogeneic Stem Cell Therapy: Receive physician-directed regenerative stem cell products that are immediately available for treatment, making them ideal for patients seeking timely care without undergoing a harvesting procedure.

Autologous Stem Cell Banking: Protect your future by harvesting and cryopreserving your own adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) while they are still young and healthy. Your cells remain available whenever you need them for future regenerative therapies.

Whether your goal is recovery, performance, healthy aging, or preserving future treatment options, our regenerative medicine team will help determine which option is right for you.

Difference between an allogenic and autologous stem cell therapy options

Immediate Stem Cell Therapy

Sometimes patients need treatment today—not weeks from now.

Our physician-directed allogeneic stem cell products are available for immediate use and may be incorporated into regenerative medicine protocols involving:

  • Orthopedic conditions
  • Joint degeneration
  • Sports injuries
  • Recovery optimization
  • Hair restoration
  • Sexual wellness
  • Healthy aging
  • Facial rejuvenation

During your consultation, we’ll determine whether an allogeneic product or another regenerative therapy is appropriate for your goals.

Why Bank Your Stem Cells?

Stem cell technology continues to be one of the most exciting areas of regenerative medicine. Stem cells are unique because they are multipotent, meaning they can develop into specialized tissues such as cartilage, bone, muscle, connective tissue, and other supportive structures.

As we age, both the number and vitality of our stem cells naturally decline. Banking your own stem cells while they are younger provides access to healthier cells that may be available for future regenerative applications.

Adipose tissue is one of the richest sources of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). By preserving your own cells, you retain a personalized, DNA-matched biological resource that eliminates concerns related to donor compatibility.

Potential Applications

Research continues to explore stem cell therapies across many medical specialties.

Stem Cell Banking with American Cell Technology

We’ve partnered with American Cell Technology (ACT) to provide secure, long-term cryopreservation of your adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells.

ACT utilizes an FDA-registered, cGTP-compliant laboratory that follows established quality standards for processing and storing stem cells.

Your stem cells are preserved using advanced cryogenic technology, allowing them to remain available for future regenerative applications.

Why Choose ACT?

Your Own DNA-Matched Stem Cells

Preserve your youngest and healthiest stem cells before natural aging reduces their quality and quantity.

Rapid Retrieval

Your stored cells can be retrieved for future procedures when needed, subject to ACT’s retrieval processes and timelines.

Industry-Leading Processing

Every specimen undergoes standardized processing and quality control designed to maximize cell viability.

Secure Cryogenic Storage

Cells are maintained in highly controlled cryogenic conditions with continuous monitoring.

Simple Collection

Harvesting adipose tissue is performed under local anesthesia with minimal downtime.

The Stem Cell Banking Process

Faqs

Autologous stem cells are your own cells, collected from you and, if ever used, returned to you. Because they’re a 100% genetic match, there’s no risk of immune rejection.

Allogeneic stem cells come from a donor and are used in someone else; even with careful matching, they carry some risk of immune rejection or graft-versus-host reaction.

American Cell Technology banks exclusively autologous cells: we collect, expand, and cryopreserve each client’s own adult mesenchymal stem cells (from adipose tissue, bone marrow, or umbilical cord blood/tissue) so they’re available for that person’s own future use.

Your stem cell reserve naturally declines with age. Stem cells become less abundant and less active as telomeres shorten and the body accumulates wear from injury and illness. Banking captures your cells while they’re at their youngest and most potent, so a high-quality personal sample is ready if you or your doctor decide you need it later. Think of it as a proactive investment in your future health options, made while your cells are working at their best.

Once processed, cells are stored in liquid nitrogen at roughly -190°C in ACT’s FDA-registered, cGTP-compliant facility. At that temperature, cellular activity essentially stops, which allows cells to remain viable for decades without meaningful degradation.

Yes, that’s the purpose of banking with ACT to store your youngest personal stem cells and having access to those cells anytime you need them for decades to come.

Adipose (fat) tissue harvesting is typically performed by a physician under local anesthesia in an outpatient setting and takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Most clients describe the procedure as largely painless, with occasional mild soreness or bruising at the harvest site for a day or two afterward. Ideally, the procedure only needs to be performed once.

Adipose (fat) tissue has a high concentration of your MSCs and ACT only requires about ~20cc of condensed fat which is just a little more than a tablespoon.

Research and clinical trials are exploring mesenchymal stem cells across a range of fields, including orthopedics (knee, hip, shoulder, and back arthritis), neurology (multiple sclerosis, stroke, ALS), autoimmune conditions, neuropathy, diabetes mellitus, cardiomyopathy, and wound care. This is an active and evolving area of research. ACT does not make treatment claims, and any decision about therapeutic use should be made with your physician.

After collection, your cells are culture-expanded to increase their numbers, then cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen (approximately -190°C) within ACT’s FDA-registered and inspected, current good tissue practice (cGTP) laboratory, under strict quality-control and safety standards.

Nothing changes with your storage. Your cells stay safely banked at ACT’s facility regardless of where you live. Just keep your contact and shipping information current with us. When you need your cells, ACT can ship them to any physician or facility, anywhere you’re located in the United States.

ACT is an autologous (personal) stem cell bank. However, the FDA defines autologous use as extending out to a 2nd-degree full blood relative. In practice, that means your banked cells can potentially be used not just by you, but by your child, your full blood siblings, your parents, and your grandparents. Whether and how to do so is a decision made with a physician at the time of use.
